  • 14 slices turkey bacon, diced
  • 1 white onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the diced turkey bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  2. Lower the heat to medium and sauté the sliced onion and minced garlic in the remaining grease until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  3. Return the crispy turkey bacon to the pan, then stir in apple cider vinegar, sugar-free maple syrup, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30-60 minutes until thickened.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a food processor or blender and pulse until reaching a jam-like consistency.
