  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons cold salted butter, cubed
  • 8-12 large cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • Juice from 1-2 lemons
  • Kosher salt and black pepper
  • Cayenne pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 rounded tablespoon sweet or smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt or avocado oil mayo
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne or cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and season with flour, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes per side until pink; remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Cook until golden (2-3 minutes), then return shrimp to skillet.
  4. Add lemon juice, toss to combine, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until warmed through.
  5. Serve the shrimp topped with garlic butter over rice or pasta.
