  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey/lamb)
  • ½ white onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 5 cups cabbage, shredded or spiralized
  • 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon coconut aminos or tamari
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ¼ cup chopped green onion
  • Toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, sliced onion, minced garlic, minced ginger, and coconut aminos. Cook until the meat is browned and crumbled.
  2. Stir in cabbage and mushrooms. Cook for about 10 minutes until softened; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in sesame oil and top with chopped green onions. Optionally sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
