  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon red gel food coloring
  • 1/4 cup Oreo cookie crumbs
  • 6 crushed Oreo cookie pieces
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt butter over medium heat and let it cool.
  2. Crush Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor.
  3. In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt; set aside.
  4. Cream cooled butter with sugars until smooth in a stand mixer.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract and food coloring.
  6. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; fold in chocolate chips and crushed Oreos.
  7. Chill dough for three hours before shaping into balls.
