  • 1/3 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste (like gochujang)
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 10-12 ounces ramen or rice noodles, cooked
  • 1.5 pounds chicken (thighs, breasts, or tenders), cubed
  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine hoisin sauce, tamari or soy sauce, vinegar, chili paste, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and chili flakes in a glass jar with water. Shake until well mixed.
  2. Boil water in a pot and cook the noodles for 2–3 minutes until soft. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook cubed chicken seasoned with garlic powder and ground ginger until browned (about 8 minutes). Add cashews and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet and simmer until it thickens slightly. Toss in cooked noodles to coat evenly.
  5. Serve hot with toppings like green onions.
